Hello everyone !!

With the advent of Crusade rules pack in the 9th edition rules book, every Codex from now on should include Crusade rules for the army! With Necron and Space Marines codex going on pre-orders this week, WHTV teased some of the new content about the crusade.

Space Marines

Inside the codex are: Agendas, Requisitions, Battle Traits, Crusade Relics, and even Honorifics that are unique to the Adeptus Astartes.

Agendas

Agendas are like Secondary objective for your Crusade force ! There are 5 Extras you can take from the codex

Requisition

Four new Requisitions in the codex

Both are very cool and very Thematic! Too bad we don't have a multipurpose Primaris Captain/Chapter master with all the options the normal captain has...

Battle Traits

These are the progressions you buy with XP :

Honorifics

The cute title you can add to your Space Marines

Crusade Relics

The codex includes plenty of new Crusade Relics from each category (Artificer, Antiquity, and Legendary Relics) and even a Relic of the Primarch!

Neat ;)

Necrons

If Space Marines Crusade rules are easy to imagine it's another story for the Necrons. Even more, the Crusade Elements included in their codex are even more details added to faction Narrative!

Agendas

The Necrons codex features four Agendas, which give your army bonuses for achieving specific goals during a battle.

Requisitions

Nice bit of info, so Crypteks have a lot of freedom (nor just a few named ones)

Battle Traits

Dynastic Epithets

Weapon Enhancements

Different table for different weapons type!

Battle Scars

The weird concept for the Necrons but heh ^^

Crusade Relics

Whoa, a Technologie that is controversial and dangerous by Necrons standard ^^ that is neat :D

Conclusion

In a nutshell, get used to big Crusade section in every codex! The rules block is becoming more and more interesting now. Because you can take stuff from Core book, Campaign setting or codex! it's a really fun way to play Warhammer 40000. Really reminded me of the old Necromunda or Bloodbowl open league!

What's really missing right now is a Character Generator! I want a Primaris Librarian with a jet pack and plasma gun! I know that in 40k rules stick to the model's kits, but it would be a lot more fun too with more freedom on units and heroes...

Freedom!
