Happy Easter, Warhammer enthusiasts!
I hope you've all been enjoying the festivities and indulging in some well-deserved chocolate treats. I apologize for the lack of posts recently, but I've been busy participating in an Age of Sigmar team tournament this past weekend. My Beasts of Chaos army, complete with 21 Morghurute Spawn, managed to snag a 4-1 record—go, team! Unfortunately, despite my personal success, our team finished just one slot above last place (and i did the pairing so i need to do some thinking ^^ ) . But hey, there's always next time, right?
Now, onto today's exciting news! Games Workshop has just revealed a brand new Tyranids model that's sure to send shivers down the spines of your opponents. Introducing Von Ryan's Leaper, a menacing new addition to the hive fleet that operates in units of three. These creatures bear a striking resemblance to Lictors but with an added twist—they work as a cohesive team, making them even more formidable.
The name "Von Ryan's Leaper" is an homage to the rich history of the Tyranids, as it harkens back to an old Nids codex (possibly the third one?) that featured a chart detailing various Hormogaunt types. It's always great to see Games Workshop paying tribute to the franchise's past while introducing fresh, innovative gameplay elements.
So, what do you think of Von Ryan's Leaper? Are you happy to field these new models in your Tyranid army? Let me know in the comments below! And once again, happy Easter to you all, and may your battles be fierce and your victories sweet!
